Your footage stays on your computer.
Cutting, rendering and audio happen on your machine, not on our servers. When the studio checks your licence it sends us the key, a scrambled ID for your computer, its name, the app version and your IP address. Never your footage, scripts, projects or Claude conversations.
Claude runs on Anthropic's servers under their own terms. It plans the edit; the heavy work stays with you.

This is a test key. It works like a real one, so revoke it in Supabase when you're done testing.
Before you install.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+ computer with 8 GB of RAM (16 GB is smoother) and about 12 GB free, the Claude desktop app on a paid plan (Pro works, Max is better for long videos), and internet during setup.
Optional extras: an NVIDIA graphics card for faster exports, your own ElevenLabs voice, an OpenAI key for AI images, or a free Pexels or Pixabay key for more stock footage.
How long does setup take?
About 20 minutes, once. Unzip the folder, double-click the installer for your computer, accept the licence and paste your key. When it says “All set”, restart Claude and type “Check Byditors Studio is ready”.
Will it eat through my Claude plan?
It's built to be light. Cutting, rendering and audio run on your computer, and Claude only plans the edit from compact results, so a video takes far fewer messages than asking Claude to write editing code.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. Say “My videos are in Hindi” and it transcribes, captions and voices in Hindi, with a free built-in Hindi voice.
How many computers can I use?
A Solo key works on 2 computers. A Team key works on 5, for people in the same business. To move to a new computer, tell Claude “Deactivate my licence” on the old one. Lost or broken computer? Write to us and we'll reset it.
Does it need the internet?
For setup, and for a short licence check every few days. Between checks it keeps working offline for up to 14 days.
Who owns the videos I make?
You do, including videos you make for paying clients. The licence covers the software, not your work. Details are in the licence agreement.
What happens to free keys after testing?
Free keys are for the testing period. Before paid licences open, we'll email everyone with a free key to explain what happens to it next.
